In the 16^th Century, Paracelsus, standing on the threshold of Achemy and Science, believed that the art of medicine rested on four pillars of –

        (1)     Astronomy,

        (2)     Natural Science,

        (3)     Chemistry, and

        (4)     Love.

It may be mentioned that Ayurvedic treatment is closely connected with the Hindu Astrology. It has been abundantly established that Ayurvedic physicians were well conversant with  the  Hindu  Astrology  and these  physicians  were therefore, applying  Astrology in the matter of the  treatment by  Ayurvedic  medicine.
